It’s all about the music. I’ve played from an early age and have been fortunate enough to be surrounded with creative and likeminded people throughout my life. I was born in London but I belong in Liverpool. In short, I love the company of friends, movies, music, and of course the odd drop of whiskey. My dream is to record at Abbey Road Studios.

1. The Blues Brothers – “It's a hundred and six miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses.”
2. The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy – A cheat as there are 3 films but as a young teenager they completely blew my mind!
3. Into The Wild – Really made me question my life, big deal for me!
4. Anchorman – Obvious answer but seriously! “I don’t know how to say this, but I’m kind of a big deal.”
5. Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas – It got me into Hunter S. Thompson. That’s got to be a good reason!
Ewan’s Top 3 Songs To Listen To (Whilst You’re Still In This Life)
1. ‘Carry that Weight’ – The Beatles. Just listen to the French horns followed by George Harrison’s guitar. Brings a tear to my eye every time.
2. ‘Shake Your Tail Feather’ – Ray Charles. It’ll make you move some!
3. ‘Big Hard Sun’ – Eddie Vedder. Best listened to in the middle of a field on a sunny day.
Ewan’s philosophy for a happy life:
Don’t let them get you down, life’s too short. Have a beer and stick on a CD, it could be worse.

Scorsese – What was Jack Nicholson like to work with in ‘The Departed’? Because he freaked the s**t out of me.
